During April, we began the process of updating all 215+ VyStar ATMs throughout Northeast to Central Florida in order to increase performance, functionality and security for our members.
To lessen the impact on our members, we will be working on several ATMs per week over the span of approximately two years, starting with standalone ATMs (which are not attached to a VyStar branch). Throughout the process, you can check our Locations page to find out if the ATM you want to use is down for maintenance/updating. The location will have “*Under Maintenance” listed in red. We appreciate your patience through this process. We are planning for a maximum downtime of three days for each ATM location.
Now that we’ve updated you on the new ATM replacement, let’s dive into some interesting information about ATMs.
What features besides withdrawing cash are available at VyStar ATMs?
In addition to cash withdrawal, there are a number of other convenient features you can use at VyStar ATMs. You can make cash and check deposits, transfer money to share or loan accounts that are linked to your VyStar card(s), request credit card or Line of Credit cash advances, check your account balance, change the PIN for your VyStar debit/ATM card, and select your language preference (English or Spanish). Soon, you will also have the option to receive your receipts via text or email.
What are common causes for ATM errors?
ATM errors are often caused by damaged cards, checks, cash, and other items that are inserted into the machine. To help ensure a smooth transaction, please avoid inserting the following items into the ATM:
- Crumpled, old, wet or torn cash
- Cracked, worn or bent cards
- Wet or torn checks
- Checks from which the paystubs have not been fully removed
Foreign objects—like wrappers, paper clips, receipts, etc.—can also cause the machine to jam, so please do not attempt to insert them into the ATM.
What are some of the strangest things ever found in our ATMs?
We’ve found some pretty strange items in our ATMs, including gum wrappers, paper clips, food wrappers, coins, rubber bands and more. To help make sure that our ATMs are running smoothly, and in consideration for other VyStar ATM users, please do not insert foreign objects into the machine.
What are the most high-traffic times to use VyStar ATMs?
Many members use our ATMs first thing in the morning on their way to work, during their lunch break, or in the evening as they’re heading home. Paydays and weekends are also high-traffic times. If you prefer to avoid the rush, visiting the ATM between those time periods can help you skip out on the longer lines and wait times.
What are the top five most-used VyStar ATM locations?
Our five most popular ATM locations are Lake Lucina (on Merrill Road), Premier Plaza (on W. Edgewood Avenue), Wilson Square (on Wilson Boulevard), Paxon Shopping Center (on N. Edgewood Avenue), and Santa Monica Center (on University Boulevard W.). Our most-visited ATM at a branch location is the Lane 1 ATM at VyStar’s Oakleaf branch.
How many transactions are completed each month at VyStar ATMs?
About 950,000 transactions are completed at VyStar ATMs each month.
What are the daily withdrawal limits at VyStar ATMs?
For ATM cards, the daily withdrawal limit is $560. For debit cards, the daily withdrawal limit is $1,010.
What do I do if I’m not close to a VyStar ATM location, but need to use an ATM to access my VyStar account?
