| Activate Transaction Email, Text and Credit Card Alerts |
Closely monitor your account balances and transactions. Here’s how to set up free alerts for your accounts:
VyStar Account Email Alerts
- Log in to Internet Banking.
- Under the “Settings/Services” menu, select “Manage Alerts.”
- From the “My Settings” tab, add/modify the “My Email Addresses” section.
- Choose an account from “My Accounts” and then set up the alerts under the “My Alerts” tab.
Text Alerts*
- Log in to Internet Banking.
- Under the “Settings/Services” menu, select “Manage Alerts.”
- From the “My Settings” tab, add/modify the “My Mobile Devices” section.
- Choose an account from “My Accounts” and then set up the alerts under the “My Alerts” tab.
Visa Credit Card Alerts
- Log in to Internet Banking.
- Click on your Visa card account name for your credit card account information and services site.
- Under the “Communications” tab, select “Visa Transaction Alerts” and follow the easy instructions.
Note: Whenever a new credit card account number is issued, alerts for your new card will need to be reset.

- Alerts are sent via text message.
- Respond to the text to confirm if the transaction is valid or not.
- We will attempt to reach you by phone or email, if a response isn't received via text.

Available for both VyStar credit cards and debit cards, Visa Secure is a free protection program that provides more security when shopping online and is used by many Internet merchants. VyStar debit and credit cards as well as business debit, Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards are automatically enrolled for this service. Use EMV Chip Technology
to Shop Safely |
EMV stands for Europay, MasterCard and Visa. The EMV chip is an extra layer of protection in addition to the card’s magnetic strip (magstripe). All VyStar credit and debit cards are equipped with EMV chip technology. In the near future, consumers will begin to notice more merchants using chip readers as it is now the industry standard in the United States. A transaction that uses the chip versus the magstripe on the card may require the cardholder to enter the card’s PIN in order to complete the transaction with the merchant.
